Bring this delicious Macadamia Bread Pudding to your next family or holiday gathering!
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 5 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Stale bread, cubed (French or Italian loaf best)
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup Macadamia nuts
- 1 cup white choc. chips
- Caramel and fudge sauce, as desired
Butter sauce:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Butter a 9 x 13 pan.
- Mix together 2 c. granulated sugar, 5 beaten eggs, and 2 c. milk in a bowl; add 2 tsp vanilla.
- Pour over cubed bread and let sit for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix and crumble together 1 c. brown sugar, 1/4 c (1/2 stick) butter, 1 c. chopped Macadamia nuts, and 1 c. white chocolate chips.
- Pour bread mixture into prepared pan.
- Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the top.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until set.
- Remove from oven.
For the butter sauce:
- Mix together 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, 1 beaten egg, and 2 tsp vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir together until the sugar is melted, stirring well.
- Pour over bread pudding.
- Drizzle with caramel and fudge sauce, as desired.
- Serve warm or room temperature.
